NEXT PARK MEETING:

Please join us at our next meeting on Monday June 1, 2026 @ 6:30PM and let’s see what we can accomplish together.

It will be held at the HOA Meeting Hall, located next to the tennis court at the 117th St Park.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

IT IS ILLEGAL TO…

  • Use a BURN BARREL.
  • Burn prohibited materials including:
    • Garbage or refuse; cardboard or paper; building materials including paints, vinyl flooring, roofing and scrap lumber; rubber products, including tires; plastics or petroleum products; material that produces smoke that is offensive or harmful to your neighbors.
  • Smoke out your neighbor. If they complain, you are required to put the fire out IMMEDIATELY – even if you have been issued a burn permit. You can be fined for causing a nuisance, and you may be held financially liable for damages caused by your fire.

RECREATIONAL BURNING ONLY (dry, seasoned wood or charcoal briquettes)…

  • Residential burning by PERMIT ONLY (limited to natural vegetation consisting of leaves, branches, prunings, and other yard and garden refuse. Grass clippings are NOT allowed.)

BURN BAN SEASON (June 1 – September 30)…

  • East Pierce Fire & Rescue prohibits outdoor burning (except for recreational fires) from June 1 through September 30 each year.
  • The Stage 1 burn ban prohibits land clearing fires and burning yard debris in unincorporated Pierce County. Residents should instead use alternatives such as composting.
  • Barbecues (gas, wood, and charcoal) and small recreational fires in approved fire pits on private property or in designated campgrounds are still allowed when safety guidelines are followed.
  • Violations of the burn ban may result in citations and fines. If fire crews respond to an illegal fire, the responsible party may be billed for the full cost of emergency response, which can be significant given the resources required to protect life and property.
  • This burn ban does not apply to legal fireworks used during approved discharge periods in unincorporated Pierce County. Learn more at PierceCountyWa.gov/Fireworks.

For more information, visit the East Pierce Fire & Rescue “Outdoor Burn Regulations” page.

SOLID WASTE MUST BE…

  • Securely stored in receptacles or containers designed to prevent threats to human health or safety or to the environment until such solid waste enters a solid waste handling system.

IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF THE OWNER OF ANY RESIDENCE TO…

  • Ensure that all solid waste that is created or accumulated is deposited into an approved container and is collected on a weekly basis. Leaving trash bags out in the open is not permitted; all trash must be placed inside the containers.
  • Ensure that no other person can cause or contribute to a public nuisance on his or her property.
